  • Introducing AiRT Work by Technikole

    A Birthday celebration of myself today in this Womens History Month. Ive been creating AI artwork for the last few years. Ive had to endure snickers and side eyes as I cultivated my craft. You see Im the technical one, I dont do art. Until 2021, Id often been known to say, I dont have a creative bone in my bodythat wasnt technologically infused. And to some degree that is true. Ive never been the one to sit and doodle, and I had never grabbed a canvas until boredom of 2020 lockdowns took place. And then I met generative art. It changed my world. I began using it for every thought, motivation and irritation that I had.

    I flushed it out to the point where I began minting it (sealing it in) on the blockchain as NFTs. I ended 2021 creating original GAN NFTS in 2021 and in June of 2022 I started the 30 Days of Metaverse movement using generative art. Today I pause to look at how far Ive come but also how far our tools have come. My flavor evolved with the technology, as GAN art rolled to AI generated art we got the gift of Dalle-2, then came MidJourney & more, the world is wide awakeat least some of it. For everyone else, I am here to help.

    George Clinton is an artist, singer, songwriter, and record producer; hes best known as the front man of the legendary funk bands Parliament and Funkadelic. Throughout his career, Clinton has been known for his innovative and non-conformist approach to music and performance. One of his iconic symbols is the Mothership, a large, spaceshipesk prop that has become synonymous with his live performances.

    Metaverse Spring Break Adventure || Discover, Explore, Create

    New session begins: April 3 -8 This jump start is designed to help you understand the Metaverse. It is designed for participants young and old who are interested in discovering future technologies and the future of work. Its not your average camp. This course is perfect for students, recent graduates, and early-career or transitioning professionals who want to expand their skills and knowledge of the Metaverse and explore its potential impact on their careers and lives. Prepare for education mixed with fun.

    Each day of this beginner friendly program will be 3 hours long and will include a combination of lessons, group discussion, and interactive activities. Our students will be provided with hands-on learning, with a special emphasis on Discovering, Exploring and Creating in the Metaverse.

    Participants will gain exposure to the following concepts and experiences:

    • Metaverse as a concept
    • Decentralization / Web3
    • AI (Artificial Intelligence)
    • VR (Virtual Reality, headset not required)
    • AR (Augmented Reality)
    • NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens, Digital Assets)
    • Avatars
    • Virtual Property

    Requirements:

    • Open mind, open to new technologies
    • Desire to learn
    • Imagination
    • Working computer

    • Smartphone, may be viable for some activities

    Outcomes:

    • Attendees will understand the Metaverse as we know it today and how they can fit in it.

    Do I Need a VR Headset?

    No! A VR headset is NOT required for this experience and course. If you do have a VR headset, you will have an opportunity to use it in some of the virtual worlds we attend.

    What Technologies Will We Experience?

    There are so many technologies creating the Metaverse. You will be introduced to hands on activities with AR, VR, Metaverse, AI, Avatars and NFTs and more as time allows.

    Can I Attend Even If I Am Not in the US?

    Yes, this event is NOT exclusive to those in the US, in fact international students are welcome for their perspective on the experience. Keep in mind we will be speaking English throughout the session. As long as you are able to connect to the meeting you should be ok.     Is There a Certificate for this Course?

    Yes activities during the session provide points that participants will earn towards the certificate.

    I cannot attend all 6 days will I receive a certificate?

    Do I Need to Attend BOTH Weeks?

    NO! There are two 6 day sessions to accommodate the different Spring Break schedules in the US geographically. The purchase of a ticket provides access to one week of training, learning and hands on activities towards understanding technology of the future and the Metaverse. Please choose March OR April as you are registering.

    Durham, NC and Hartford, CTGet ready for the ultimate celebration of Funk music and technology at the Funk n Future Festival on February 26th, 2023. Organized by MaxDistro in collaboration with the P-Funk era Funkateers, this one-day festival experience is part of Black Futures Week and will take place in Durham, NC and Hartford, CT, as well as in the Metaverse.

    The Funk n Future Festival is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Funk music and its ties to technology and Afrofuturism. The event will feature performances from the New Funk artists: Zack Roberson and the Nappy Head Funk Army, as well as ToNY CaMM and the New Funk Allstars. Theyll be playing Under a Groove and passing the mantle on to the next generation of STEEM-preneurs, the Aisymmetry STEEM team. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the event in-person, televised worldwide, or in the Metaverse.

    In addition to providing an unforgettable entertainment experience, the event supports kids in technology, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Aisymmetry Youth Group of Durham. Their mission is to help students realize the value of essential STEEM skills through our robotic coding, game design and designed thinking session.
