Technikole Supports BWIT: 1000 Women Rising in Tech, LEARN-AI-THON
Providing Women with Essential AI Skills through Google Career Certifications

February 2025 – In partnership with Black Women in Technology (BWIT), Technikole Consulting is proud to support the 1000 Women Rising in Tech LEARN-AI-THON initiative. The program aims to provide women with the skills and certifications needed to break into or advance within the tech industry, featuring Google Career Certifications in AI.

The LEARN-AI-THON is a self-paced learning experience, combining career certification through the Grow with Google Program. Learners and Achievers can earn Google’s AI Essentials and Prompt Essentials courses, discovering resources along the way. Participants will have the opportunity to earn to form study groups and join in on live sessions, “Knowledge Checks” where they can engage other members and a supportive community to explore a future with AI.

“Helping women gain the knowledge and confidence to create and innovate with tech is a crucial part of our mission,” says NiKole Maxwell, Chief Innovation Officer for Black Women in Tech. “This initiative gives women the opportunity to develop key AI skills and join a network of like-minded professionals in a supportive environment.”

Program Details

• Start Date: Participants can begin the self-paced courses immediately upon registration
• Key Dates:
  • February 21st: Complete both courses
  • February 21-22: Live interactive “Knowledge Check” sessions (10 AM – 1 PM ET)
  • Study Support: Weekly Thursday study sessions at 7 PM ET during normal BWIT meeting times.
• Google Certifications: Google AI Essentials and Google Prompt Essentials
• Exclusive Badges:
  • Coursera Participation Badge for completing courses
  • BWIT AI Foundations Badge for participating in live sessions

Registration is now open through Eventbrite, and participants are encouraged to invite others who might benefit from this initiative.
