The Challenge
The challenge was to test my ability to design and implement a custom GPT in the new OpenAI GPT Store. We are calling them ChatGPT GPTs which is oddly phrased and confusing. I 100% approve of the name ChatGPT Minis that came later. I took this project on because I wanted to know if I knew “enough” to tinker and create something meaningful. With new tech I tend to do something small an whimsical first before unleasing my time on something trendy. This was a imple experiment to see if they could build a comprehensive, professional-grade, and commercially-aware AI tool.The goal was to create a fun specialized assistant that could holistically solve a real-world creative and business problem.
Our Solution
Technikole developed the “Cereal Namer GPT” tool, a specialized AI assistant designed to function as an end-to-end creative branding tool for the unique niche of “Cereal Baby Names. Instead of just generating text, the solution provides a complete, product concept.
For any given prompt, it delivers:

A creative, market-ready cereal name.

An imaginative backstory to build emotional connection and brand identity.

A unique mascot concept called a “Cereal Baby,” which is then generated as an image using DALL·E.
The tool was explicitly engineered to be commercially savvy and ethically responsible. It also has native diversity, created to mandate diverse, inclusive characters to ensure positive and wide-ranging representation.

Reflections:
Looking back from 2025, this 2023 “whimsical test” was actually a foundational blueprint. It proved to be more than just an experiment; it was an early execution of our 3D Framework. The Ideation was the holistic concept (name + story + mascot), the Implementation was the sophisticated, multi-step AI orchestration (DALL·E art direction, text generation, and web research), and the Automation was the tool’s ability to deliver a complete brand package on demand.
What I didn’t fully realize at the time was that I was codifying a unique style—one that fused creative product strategy with a non-negotiable commitment to technical and ethical excellence, like mandating diversity. This project is the perfect micro-example of the same strategic, end-to-end thinking we now apply to complex client transformations. It serves as the ideal baseline for Cereal Namer 2.0, coming soon to our innovation lab via Google’s Gemini AI.
